ArtTactic is delighted to launch the 4th edition of the Auction Guarantee Report, covering the period between 2016 and 2022 (1st half). The level of guarantees for evening sales of Impressionist, Modern, Post-War and Contemporary art is on track to set a new record this year, if the momentum of the first half of the year continues in the coming months.
In this edition of the Auction Guarantee report we analyse data from Impressionist, Modern, Post-War and Contemporary evening sales at Christie’s, Sotheby’s and Phillips in London, New York, Hong Kong, Paris, Shanghai, Singapore and Las Vegas. The analysis is based on data from more than 2,550 guaranteed lots between 2016 and first half of 2022, with an estimated guaranteed value of $12.5 billion (based on the low pre-sale auction estimate).
