The New York Marquee Evening sales in November 2023 saw 81 lots returning to the auction market with a combined hammer value of $439.3 million, against the low estimate of $437 million, accounting for 28% of the total evening sales value. The findings show that 40% of resold lots held for less than 10 years were sold at a loss, whilst 88% of lots held for more than 10 years sold with a positive return.
