Average resale returns continue to fall
The London Marquee Evening sales in October 2023 saw 45 lots returning to the auction market with a combined low estimate of $75.6 million, accounting for 40.5% of the total evening sales value. The average annual rate of return for the repeat sales this October was +3.7% (not adjusted for inflation), compared to +16.9% in October 2022.
