We are delighted to launch the Online Art Market Report 2024, which is a sequel to our 10 year-long research partnership with Hiscox investigating the inception of transacting art online, culminating in the Online Art Market Report, which was released between 2014 and 2023 (see report archive here). Our partnership with Hiscox has evolved into a new frontier in the art and technology space, now focusing on a new research initiative, which sets out to explore the relationship between AI and the art market. The inaugural Art and AI Report 2024 sets out the initial key findings in this space.

Our new Online Art Market Report 2024 continues to survey art collectors about their online art buying behaviour and online art sales platforms about their outlook for the market. In addition, we have added an in-depth analysis of auction trends and top artists (across artist generations) sold in Online-Only auctions at Christie’s, Sotheby’s and Phillips since the pandemic. This is the first time ArtTactic has provided stand-alone data analysis on this segment of the market, and the findings reveal a different story from the gloomy picture that has been painted of the art market so far in 2024.
