Italian Post-War and Contemporary art auctions see a 58.8% increase in sales in 2021:

After a tough year in 2020, Italian Modern, Post-War and Contemporary artists at Christie’s, Sotheby’s and Phillips saw a 58.8% rise in sales in 2021, with a rise in the number of lots coming up for auction increasing by 20%. This market has not yet returned to pre-pandemic levels – sales are down 43% from 2019.
