After two years of consecutive growth, total evening sales of Impressionist and Modern art at Christie’s, Sotheby’s and Phillips in London, Paris and New York experienced a decline of 41.4% in 2019.

Over 4,800 lots and around 340 artists were analysed by nationality and artistic movement. This report provides a new and unique insight into dynamics of the Impressionist and Modern art market in London, Paris and New York, highlighting artists’ markets that are growing as well as stagnating.
