Known for her contemporary interpretation of the Rococo painting style, British artist Flora Yukhnovich (b. 1990, Norwich, UK), playfully and critically explores different notions of femininity in the history of art and popular culture. Reimagining the rococo through the lens of abstraction, her paintings explore process and materiality as vehicles for meaning, with swirling and cascading forms evoking rhythm and energy, whilst also evoking the drama and whimsy of François Boucher and Jean- Honoré Fragonard. Yukhnovich earned diplomas in Portraiture at Heatherly School of Fine Art, London (2012 – 2013), and an MA in Fine Art at City & Guilds of London Art School in 2017. She currently lives and works in London.
