All the fun of the fair – London’s Frieze week Post-War and Contemporary evening auctions reach sales totals of £130 million
Total sales from Sotheby’s, Christie’s and Phillips London Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening auctions raised £130.06 million against the total pre-sale estimate of £99.98 million to £141.52 million. This was 27.1% more than October last year, and 7.5% more than October 2019. This marks the first increase London evening auctions have seen year- on-year since October 2017 when Post-War and Contemporary Art sales raised a total of £160.9 million.
