Hybrid auctions of Impressionist, Modern, Post-War and Contemporary art culminate at the lower end of market expectations:

In a last-ditch attempt to plug the gap of lost sales during COVID-19 – Christie’s, Sotheby’s and Phillips organised a series of Hybrid auctions following a similar format to what was launched in the summer this year.  Total auction sales at Sotheby’s Christie’s and Phillips Hybrid Evening sales this month raised $266.7 million against a pre-sale estimate of $252.5 million to $347.3 million.
