In this week’s episode of the ArtTactic Podcast, we’re joined by fine artist Robert Williams, widely considered the godfather of the low brow and pop surrealist art movement. First, Robert takes us through his career as an artist considered to be an outsider to the art establishment, beginning in art school as one of the only students who didn’t want to paint in abstract expressionism style to his first gallery show at Tony Shafrazi Gallery. Then, Robert tells us what is was like when he first achieved commercial success as an artist and how he maintained his creative and artistic integrity throughout that process. Lastly, Robert shares some advice for aspiring fine artists.
