In this week’s episode of the ArtTactic Podcast we’re joined by prominent art collector Jordan Schnitzer. The Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation loans artworks from its permanent collection to museums around the country and some of his iconic contemporary prints will be on display in an upcoming exhibition titled “Andy Warhol to Kara Walker: Picturing the Iconic” at the Art Museum of Sonoma County from April 12th to May 25th. In the podcast, Jordan first shares with us why he’s so committed to sharing prints from his collection with other museums and institutions. Then, he tells us to what extent he has witnessed recent technologies impacting printmaking and if it has factored into the proliferation of contemporary art prints. Also, Jordan compares the current state of the contemporary print market to where it was when he first began collecting and explains why the print market is a great area to focus on for beginning collectors.
