A researcher bio
Lindsay Dewar
Lindsay Dewar is the Head of Analytics, and has been with ArtTactic since 2017. Leading the analytics and research team, she is responsible for developing research and products. She also runs the mentoring and internship programmes. Lindsay regularly speaks about the art market on panels and gives lectures at Kington University on the MA Art Business course. She also is an active member of the Association of Women in the Arts (AWITA). Her art world experience includes emerging Contemporary art galleries, art advisories and valuation companies, as well as various art research positions. She holds a Masters in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, and a Masters in Art Market Appraisal from Kingston University.
Megan Corcoran Locke
Megan Corcoran Locke, ArtTactic’s Head of Business Development, has been with ArtTactic in varying capacities since 2016, originally as part of the research team focusing on the Old Masters. Her continuing tenure at Stephen Ongpin Fine Art as Gallery Director has given her a range of experiences within the commercial art world, from sales and acquisitions, investment, to collections management, as she has grown with the gallery from intern to director. She has guest lectured at Sotheby’s Institute and been interviewed for podcasts and art publications. Prior to Megan’s venture into the art world, she worked at Barclays Capital in Fixed Income Sales, honing her skills in research and analysis. Megan holds a Bachelor’s in History of Art and Architecture from Harvard University and a Master’s in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
Adam Green
James Cocksey
James Cocksey joined the ArtTactic team in 2016, as a researcher specializing in artist related reports. His background within the arts is both creative and commercial, with a BA in Fine Art Sculpture from the University of the Arts London, followed by an MA in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London. James’ previous experience includes working within the commercial gallery sector, with a focus on emerging to mid-career contemporary artists. He currently works independently in art consultancy, alongside a studio practice.
Megan Brown
Megan Brown is a Data Analyst at ArtTactic. She was born and raised in Hong Kong, where she lived for 18 years until moving to Boston to receive her Bachelor’s degree. Megan holds a degree in Business Administration with a dual concentration in Finance and Visual and Literary Arts from Babson College. After graduating in 2019, Megan moved to Brooklyn, New York and worked for J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. as a financial associate for 3.5 years. Megan is currently a Master’s student studying Art Business at Sotheby’s Institute in London due to graduate in fall 2023. She is passionate about connecting finance with the art world.
Anya Nikolaeva
Anya is the Social Media Manager and Researcher. She joined ArtTactic as a Data Analyst intern in February 2022, over the course of the year she has become involved in research and marketing. She holds a masters in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art and a bachelors in Art History from Regents University London.
Eilidh McClafferty
Eilidh is the Old Masters Researcher. She joined ArtTactic in December 2022. She holds an LLM in Art Law from the University of York and a MA in History of Art from the University of Glasgow. Eilidh also has experience working in the commercial gallery sector.
