British artist Michaela Yearwood-Dan (b. 1994, London) is best known for playful and vibrant paintings and ceramics, that explore themes of love and loss, race and culture, gender, class and nature. Often based on observations of society and self, her practice is at once personal and political. She resists any singular definition of identity, exploring the possibilities of creating spaces, both physical and metaphorical, that allow for unlimited and unbounded ways of being. Michaela Yearwood-Dan earned a BA Hons in Fine Art from the University of Brighton in 2016. She currently lives and works in London.
