KEY FINDINGS

The short-term confidence in the contemporary art market has increased by 6% since the previous survey in September 2018, with the Economic Indicator recovering 29% in the last 9 months, as some of the main risks have been staved off for now.

The short-term confidence readings for established and emerging contemporary artists covered in this report are up 6% and 1% respectively. The emerging artist rank is led by Mark Bradford and Njideka Akunyili Crosby, whereas the established contemporary artist rank is topped by Marlene Dumas and Neo Rauch.
