New York’s evening sales of Post-War and Contemporary art down 26.4% from March 2018
The Post-War and Contemporary art evening sales in New York last week raised a total of £179,440,000* (excluding buyer’s premium), just inside the total pre-sale estimate of £170,820,000 – £227,450,000; a 26.4% decrease from March 2018 and 7.7% lower than the sales total in March 2017.
Financial guarantees decrease 20.3% by value in the last 12 months
The overall value of guarantees (based on the low estimate) decreased by 20.3% from November last year, accounting for £91.5 million based on the low estimate of these lots.
